Security While Traveling .... Seasick Remedies

I don't know about you, but when we travel we always take extra precaution to keep our valuables safe and secure.  Here are some of the products that I think you might find helpful:

RFID Products & Information:

RFID blocking products
"Millions of new credit cards and passports contain tiny two way radios called RFID chips. This makes it easy for theives to employ electronic pickpocketing and scan your credit card numbers and other info without touching you! Our RFID blocking products prevent this from happening to you." They have wallets, sleeves, passport holders and more.  There is video from FOX news on their site too about these products.

Amazon - (Travelon RFID Blocking Purse Organizer - Large)
Thought this looked like a great organizer and loved the fact that it was RFID blocking.
11 x 7 x 3

Ebags - (Travelon RFID Blocking Purse Organizer - Med)
Ebags has the medium size version of this organizer.
6.5 x 8 x 1

Pac-Safe
They carry a complete line of theft proof gear -- purses, packs, camera cases, neck wallets, and more.
EBags (Pac-Safe)
EBags also carries "some" of the Pac-Safe products.  I check both sites for the best prices.
QVC Travelon Anti-Theft Bags
There are a number of Travelon Anti-Theft bags on QVC.  Check be sure the one you choose is anti-theft, as there are regular bags there too.

Magellan's Vaultpro Bags
They have from small bags up to larger tote bag.   They also carry Pacsafe products.

Products to help prevent seasickness:

I have had the good fortune of never being seasick on a cruise except for one time on the last day of the cruise and we were docking, they brought the ship in sideways instead of the normal way.  Didn't get sick, just didn't feel great.  It didn't take them long to dock the ship, so the motion stopped fairly quickly.   We ate a light breakfast and then went out on deck until it was time to disembark.  See my note under the Bio-Band section about my dear mom and her problems with motion sickness.

You can take RX meds and OTC motion sickness meds.  There are also products that are a natural or non-medicine way to deal with seasickness.  Here are some of the choices you have:

Gin-Gins Hard Candy
From their website:  "Ginger, hard ginger candy, and other products made from or containing ginger, have long been used as a natural remedy for sea-sickness.  While we can offer no actual proof of the medicinal validity of this claim, we can tell you  long-time cruisers and frequent air travelers have recommended ginger as a natural alternative to Dramamine type products. (Note:  We also carry Spicy Apple Ginger Chews and  Travel Size Ginger Candy Chews.)"

(My note .... from what I have read ginger can thin your blood.  If you are taking blood thinners, please consult your doctor before using this candy.)

Bio-Bands - Acupressure Wrist Bands
From their website:  "BioBands are clinically proven, effective wristbands that provide relief of nausea associated with travel (motion sickness), pregnancy (morning sickness), anesthesia (post-operative) and chemotherapy.

(My note #1 ... what I like about these is that they are adjustable and you only need to wear one.   They also have children sizes too.)

(My note #2  ... mom always suffered from motion sickness when she flew or took a cruise.  Then would have balance problems sometimes for weeks afterwards.   No medication helped and after extensive tests, they could find no other problem.   She discovered the acupressure bands and the problems disappeared.  She would put them on 1 hour before she left home and then leave them on thru the complete trip until she was back home about an hour.   Worked great, no more motion sickness.)
